From: "Bernhard C. März" arcor de> Date: 2 oct 2007 Subject: RE: Error in Tsume No.2863??? My opinion: maybe searching an other forced mate with the SAME number of= =20 moves to get an empty hand can be okay and it should be a "correct"=20 tsume, but in my eyes it's a BAD tsume!!! Furthermore it also can happen with tsume rules, that you have to search= =20 a forced mate with MORE moves to get an empty hand, what seems a little=20 bit stupid. So "tsume" is a word which stands for many different kind of= =20 shogi-puzzles (also Go puzzles). Comparing with chess, it's similar you=20 have only one word for the puzzles "mate in x", "selfmate in x" and=20 "helpmate in x". But Jochum Drechsler wrote me a very important email. It seems his=20 second post about this tsume 2863 didn't reached this list, at least I=20 can not find it at http://lists.topica.com/lists/shogi/read? Jochum told, that Sx4g+ (instead Sx4g) is the correct answer and than=20 there is no mate in the two variants given by me and Eduard. THAT was the answer I hoped to get when I've asked my question!!! Whether it was "correct" or not without this move, BUT with this it=20 makes tsume 2863 a "GOOD" tsume instead a bad one! --^---------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to: = shogi-l shogi net EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?a2i6Ys.= aCGIy8.= c2hvZ2kt Or send an email to: shogi-unsubscribe topica com For Topica's complete suite of email marketing solutions visit: http://www.topica.com/?p=3DTEXFOOTER --^----------------------------------------------------------------
