I hope it eventually will, but I'm afraid it will take some time.  If
everything goes well (which is far from sure), I expect to have a
rudimentary version ready this autumn.  I'll need at least half a year
after that before the program plays decent shogi.  But at least, I can
promise Larry that he will eventually get a free, MP-capable shogi
program.  :)
