The English term is "transposition." So, in your example, you would have re=
ached the Italian Game by transposition. An alternate phrasing would be to =
say that the Italian Game had been reached via a different move order.

With it I found an earlier post in this shogi list, very similar to
mine:

But still it's difficulty (and money expensive) to buy Japanese books
and also more difficulty to read it without able to speak Japanese.

I'm not sure if I misunderstood you, or maybe if you are not familiar
with ECO.

In ECO the exact move-order is NOT (!!!) interesting.
So for example you can read the following line:

C50  	Italian Game; C50  	1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4

But when you start the game maybe with 1.Nf3 (A04 Reti; Zukertort; A04)
and then Nc6, it's the ECO-opening A04:
A04  	Lessing Defense  	1.Nf3 Nc6

But if the game continues in this way 2.e4 e5 3.Bc4 you still have the
Italian Game with the ECO-number C50:
1.Nf3 Nc6 2.e4 e5 3.Bc4 =3D> also C50

So in your example with this two games, they should of course get the
same Encyclopedia of Shogi Strategies Index-number.


Creating an index for Shogi-Strategies (also you can see, that I didn't
wrote "Shogi-Openings" ;-) ) is not so easy, especially for me with a
small knowledge. Also I like to hear if others are interested in it,
because only for me it makes not much sense to make this work.
