Hello Reijer,

I had this problem more than 10 years ago. When PGN notation was invented
and
defined.
I never found somebody who did it for PSN.
I wanted to make a awk database with my games only.
I even remember me talking to Patrick Davin and Hans Secelle.

There is one way to go very fast forward and to do good work.

MAKE your own PSN version 1.

Submit it to shogi-L.
We should see if there is something or correct or to improve or to add,
and submit the PSN rules to the Internet or contact the maker of PGN,
isn't it Tim Mann ?
Submit them to the MIT and and the GNU shogi TEAM.
Don't give them long reflexion times !

If nobody makes reflexions or nobody reacts, then your work is good,
and YOUR PSN is 'de facto' the standard.


If there aren't rules MAKE them yourself. That is the way Microsoft does.

And please use ASCII only. You then negates all problems with CR LF
and all the french and other exotic characters.
You can use the chess characters like

+
+-
+/=
! !! !? ?! ??

for short annotation.

And you can start with the official and functional PGN rules and only
adopt them to PSN.
So PSN is your BABY.
