From: Reijer Grimbergen yz yamagata-u ac jp> Date: 22 aug 2007 Subject: Re: Universal Shogi Interface (japanese Dot.Net Programs) Hi Bernard, There definitely is a problem with running Shogidokoro on a non-Japanese= =20 Windows machine. The website says the program needs Microsoft .NET=20 Framework 2.0 to run, but this is only true for Japanese Windows. When I= =20 tried to install Shogidokoro on an English Windows XP, it crashed just=20 like you said. I will try to contact the author about this to try and solve the=20 problem. I am also planning to contact the author about a version where=20 at least the GUI is in English (translating the long explanation on the=20 website is not going to be so easy, though...). Problem is that there is= =20 no contact link on the website (no name, no mail), so I am waiting for a= =20 reply on Yamashita's BBS at the moment. Reijer Bernhard C.
