The Jubang= =3D o handicap system used in go uses
alternating handicaps as follows:

tagaisen:  even match (alternate black-white)

sen-ai-s= =3D en:  weaker takes black in 2 of 3 games

josen:  = =3D weaker takes black in all games

sen-ni-sen:  weaker takes = =3D black twice, two-stone
handicap once in 3 games

ni-sen-ni:  weaker takes two-stone handicap twice,
bla= =3D ck once in 3 games.

joni:  weaker takes two-stone handicap= =3D all games

ni-san-ni:  three-stone handicap once, two-ston= =3D e
handicap twice in 3 games.

san-ni-san:  three-stone handicap twice, two-stone
han= =3D dicap once in 3 games.

jo san:  three-stone handicap all g= =3D ames

etc, etc.

I was wondering more about the ten-game match<= =3D br>tradition and if it existed in shogi than about the
handicaps, but the elaborate handicap system used in
Jubango intrigu= =3D ed me, too.
