I had the problem also and installed Java Additional Language support. After that the Japanese Java applet for kifu works on my PC. Unfortunately, I am having a problem replaying the games from the database. When I bring up a game, I get a board with the pieces on the starting position. But the row of buttons on the top left that control the= playing functions are not operational. I have encountered this issue numerous times on other web sites as well. I have a Windows XP environment, and my browser is Internet Explorer. Has anyone out there encountered this problem and fixed it? If so, could you tell me how you fixed it? Is there some kifu reading applet I can download to help me with this problem? Thank you, Fassil Bekele P.S.
