Subject: Counting peices in Sennichite or automatic draw?


Hallo shogi funs,
first day of our shogi presentation is over -- it was hard but joyful 
day. During presentation simple, but unanswerable question had arisen:

In case of Jishogi, pieces are counted and who ever have less than 24 
points lost. Is such count in Sennichite, too? Or is it automatic draw? 
Put aside situation when one side lose due to consecutive checks, please.
