From: Kuniholm mail sdccu net Date: 22 aug 2006 Subject: Re: Question about shogi database program No, pace Mr. Hsu, Spear cannot do it. As good as Spear is, and as grateful as I am that it is shareware, it cannot do the database functions Mr. Martin requested, namely show multiple variations for a single game, nor print kifu with diagrams, nor perform most of the functions that players of Western Chess expect from programs such as ChessBase. So, to repeat Mr. Martin's question, are there any (commercially available) Shogi database programs with an English interface? ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Theodore Hsu hsu org> Reply-To: shogi topica com Date: Mon, 21 Aug 2006 07:52:45 -0400 > >Spear can do it. > >Ted > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "DANERUD MARTIN" comhem se> >To: topica com> >Sent: Monday, August 21, 2006 2:10 AM >Subject: Question about shogi database program > > >> >> Dear all, >> >> I want to ask if there is something new and useful working as a shogi >> database program, that is an easy-to-use, PC software with English >> interface, where you can generate the kifu by moving the pieces on the >> board and then store the game for later clicking through or reading or >> publishing the kifu, addition of comments etc etc. You know, just like >> the useful database programs for chess. >> >> Best regards, >> >> Martin >> >> >> > > > > --^---------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to: shogi-l shogi net EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?a2i6Ys.bnuqMa.c2hvZ2kt Or send an email to: shogi-unsubscribe topica com For Topica's complete suite of email marketing solutions visit: http://www.topica.com/?p=TEXFOOTER --^----------------------------------------------------------------
