A handicap game means removing pieces permanantly from play,= =20 which can not be done. You can put the pieces you want to remove on your= =20 own komadai and just make a promise to yourself that you will never use=20 them, but I sure that this overwhelming material in hand will confuse=20 Spear so much that it will not play a decent game.
