Hello Shogi Fans,

Japan Shogi Association unveiled in their website that their examination
system committee invites the public to offer their opinion about the curren=
t
system to become a pro and how it should be reformed. If you read Japanese,=
=20
you can offer your opinion through the following page(although I'm not sure=
=20
they are ready to read your opinion written in any other languages than=20
Japanese);

The deadline is Nov.30 in Japan.

According to JSA, the committee members are as followings;
  Morishita 9 dan
  Waki 8 dan
  Namekata 7 dan
  Hatakeyama(Mamoru) 6 dan
  Sugimoto 6 dan
  Iizuka 6 dan
  Chuza 5 dan
  Ueno 4 dan
  Katagami 4 dan

The committee's proposition will be discussed in the next general pro playe=
rs'
meeting to be held in May 2006. Since JSA is a corporation aggregate which=
=20
consists of pros and ex-pros, it is the highest decision making meeting the=
re.
The voters are limited to pros and ex-pros only, not including lady pros an=
d
shoreikai players.
