We, the FESA representatives, are right now finalizing the details regardin=
g tournament=20
system etc, so that Vojtech Hrabal can start up the real efforts to set=20
a new record of participation for the ESC/WOSC 2005 in Pardubice.=20
Somewhat ironically, during the entire voting process, we have been missing=
=20
the Great Britain votes. I realize that you are not the person, whom I have=
=20
been tirelessly asking to vote for Great Britain, Dave, and as you pointed=
=20
out in Pullach last year, the status of British shogi does not seem to be=
=20
at its highest possible level, especially not from an organisational point=
=20
of view.

Anyway, welcome all of you to Pardubice in the Czech Republic, from July 14=
=20
until July 17 this summer! I can guarantee, since I have been there myself,=
=20
that Pardubice is a wonderful place and very suitable for a big board game=
=20
festival like this.=20

From FESA, we are very happy to announce that Nihon Shogi Renmei will send=

the two shogi professionals Mr Miyata and Mr Ono to the ESC/WOSC 2005. They=

will be available for friendly analyses of your games, shogi lessons, handi=
