From: Jochum Shogi web de> Date: 20 mar 2005 Subject: Shogi Tournament Pullach/Munich 2005 Dear shogi-players, I have some additions to the Shogi Tournament Pullach/Munich 2005: As already some players asked me about the venue, I share this information with you: We will not play in the same hall as during the EC. We will play in a newly renovated room in the tower (third floor). Provided the weather is fine you should be able to enjoy a nice view on the Alps from there. The pairing system (Olufsen pairing based TPR) will be used. But the=20 system will be modified in such a way that the big fluctuations in the=20 first rounds will be softened. As last year we will set the climax (the=20 pairing of the potentially strongest players) to the fourth round. Two ideas that I presented at the last FESA-meeting and that gained general support, will be implemented at this tournament. All members of a FESA member organization will pay less entry fee. The European and the German Champion enter for free. This applies to all official German shogi-tournaments. See you in Pullach, Jochum.
