A detailed announ= cement should appear here in the near future. The USSF needs to select the three players to represent the U.S. in th= e Shogi Forum tournament in Tokyo this fall. One must be a kyu player, one = must be ranked no higher than 3 Dan, and one slot is open to all ranks. The= three players must be U.S. citizens. We plan to select the three represent= atives at the U.S. Championship, but since the championship itself is an el= imination event, it is not clear what format is suitable for this determina= tion.
