Please contact one of the organizers to register. Include your name, email address, phone number and what equipment you will be bringing. Please also let us know if you are a dan, kyu or beginner player. Of course players of all strengths are welcome= ! On-site registration followed by a welcoming is at 9:00 am. 4 Rounds Swiss System. Each Player plays at least 3 games, 4 games if there= are an even number of players. Handicaps: Each player declares whether he is a dan, kyu or beginner player= . Dan players will give 1 piece (Lance, kyosha) handicap to kyu players, and 2-piece (rook + bishop, hissha + kaku) handicap to beginner players). Kyu players will give 1 piece (bishop,kaku) to beginners. At the option of the= weaker player the handicap can be reduced, and at the option of the stronge= r player the handicap can be increased. The idea is to make all games as fun as possible. Times of games: 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm. Lunch is at 12:30 pm.= We will be organizing a lunch order (bento) for all participants. Time control: 20 min + 30 sec byoyomi. We want to rate all games in the Pan-Atlantic rating system. This is the minimum rateable time control. Entry Fee: This is a free event. However, donations of refreshments are welcome. We will ask everybody to pay for lunch. There will be a group orde= r to a local restaurant.
