Subject: Something funny to think about!

We had a party at our house, and some guests had 'Go' boards.
A friend of mine from Washington State knows some shogi, and we tried a few 
games. (I got cratered.)

Because we were right next to 'Go' players, we decided to get silly for a 
moment, and I wondered whether a small version of Go could be played 
simultaneously and interstitially, on the Shogi board...

Has anyone ever tried this?
Is it fun?
