Subject: US Shogi Championship in San Francisco ??

Last year I recall Larry Kaufman saying that the US Shogi Championship was to be in
San Francisco in April 2004.

I was wondering if there was anymore information, or who to contact.  I live near
San Francisco and was hoping to try and participate.

Also, what is the status of the USSF?  A few years ago I sent my check in and it was
never cashed.  I haven't heard anything other than some USSF events that happen on
the East Coast and in Los Angeles.  I wouldn't mind helping do stuff in the San
Francisco Bay Area, but I'm not sure who to contact.  Would it be Mac Ito who is
listed at <http://www.bujutsu.com/shogi/> as the Western Regional Director?
