I wasn't offended by Manabu's comment and can't imagine that anyone=20
else was. I also very much appreciate his regular provision of details=20
of web sites showing live coverage of shogi matches. I just wanted to=20
point out that, since you only need to know the kanji for the shogi=20
pieces to play through shogi games or study opening theory from=20
Japanese shogi books, inability to read Japanese is not as much of an=20
impediment as Manabu seems to think.
