A while back, somebody on the list posted an article about Thai chess.  I
can't remember the name of it, but it's very similar to Shogi, except it's
played on a chess board.  Most pieces corresponded to their Shogi
equivalents, but bishops, as I recall, moved like a Shogi Gold. 

You might want to try and Google this game.
