For detailed and last-minute information, please refer to . In addition to the regular Championship, we will most likely also have a Blitz Championship on Friday 5 at 17:00. Participation in both Championships is free of charge and, as previous years showed, everybody, rank beginners as well as stronger players will have a very enjoyable time. The Italian Open is also a Grand Prix tournament, so come and score your points here for the prestigeous GP title! The Shogi Championships are part of "Giochi Sforzeschi" (the Italian Mind Sports Olympiad), featuring more than 60 Mind Sports including Chess, Go, Renju, Xiang Qi, Bridge, Mah Jong, Draughts, Backgammon, Mancala, Othello, Scrabble, Abalone, Risk and Stratego. Dates ----- Shogi Championship: Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December. Blitz Shogi Championship: probably Friday evening 5 December. Giochi Sforzeschi: Friday 5 through Monday 8 December.
