Subject: PREVIEW: 13th German Open Shogi Championships 15th Nov and 16th Nov 2003

Dear Shogi friends,

To give you a short preview of the impending 13th German Open Shogi
Championships in the city of Hannover, we'd like to say that we are
proud about a great list of participants which is even said to be
expanded soon. 

Surprisingly, Mr. Kikuta Yuji 6-Dan, former amateur -Meijin, - Ohsho,
und -RyuO, has registered to the tournament! We think that every single
player will benefit from his participation. Even without him, the
average ELO of the first eight players is fantastic 1836, equal to
2-dan. But also the ELO of the kyu grades are distributed quite evenly
and all in all this should lead to very interesting and exciting games. 

Until now, 23 players have already registered but we firmly hope to see
almost 30 players, at the 13th German Open Shogi Championships ! Welcome
to and see you soon in Hannover, 15th Nov and 16th Nov 2003!
