     Aside from the question of why you got a different result than Andy
Lipscomb (" to convert a SC24 rating to Pan-Atlantic based on that scale,
multiply by .424628 and add 1409."), the formula you give doesn't make
sense, as it would give a negative Pan-Atlantic rating in every case.  What
did you mean to say?
