I am sure Takizawa-san will post the full results soon. I will make a report on the tournament which I will post to the list later, but I think this report will not be finished until sometime in June. What I can say now is that SPEAR's result was quite disappointing, as tests showed that the program had improved a lot over last year's version (winning about 80% of the games). It just turned out that the other programs had improved even more. The standard of play was quite high, even in the qualification groups. I didn't see all of the games in the finals, but judging from what I saw winning against a computer program will soon be something to be very proud of. Especially IS Shogi (Todai Shogi) is very, very strong.
