Subject: Junisen A Group ends in Three-Way Tie

The A Group of the Junisen ended in a three-way tie between Sato, Habu and
Fujii (6 wins, 3 losses). They will play off to decide the Meijin
challenger. Going into the final round today, Sato held the lead with 6 wins
and 2 losses, but he lost to Goda while Habu beat Aono and Fujii won against
Tanigawa. The two players relegated to the B1 Group were Morishita (2 wins,
7 losses) and Goda (4 wins, 5 losses.)
    Goda was very unfortunate to be relegated even though he won 4 games.
Although four other players (Aono, Miura, Maruyama and Shima) also finished
with 4 wins, Goda was the lowest in the order (juni).
    Final round results: Habu 1 Aono 0; Fujii 1 Tanigawa 0; Goda 1 Sato 0;
Shima 1 Miura 0; Maruyama 1 Morishita 0
    Final scores: Habu, Sato, Fujii 6-3; Tanigawa 5-4; Miura, Aono, Shima,
Maruyama, Goda 4-5; Morishita 2-7
