Subject: AW: First German Shogi Team Championchip

> Weekend 18./19. Jan. the German Shogi Team Championchip was played in Munich. First Chamion is the team from Stuttgart (K. Wartlick, A. Engelhardt, W. Hoffmann & W. Erben) with two point more than Munich I and Munich II. But all three team are beaten by the strong Team from Graz. Like at the Tokyo Shogi Forum we play the second day an open MacMahon Tournament based on the results of the first day. The winner was Rainer Staberhofer who win all five games and beat the new 2. Dan Karl Wartlick (4 pts) in the last round. With three point are following Thomas Pfaffel, Marco Dietmayer, Marc Marian and Wolfgang Hoffmann. In each round we have had games with more than 160 moves (jap. counting). In kombination with Fisher modus (30min/40 sec), witch was played first time in an offical tournament in Europa, we have had little problems with the time managment!? Byoyomi under Fisher is def. better than normal! Next year we will play an Open Team Championchip. Hope to see you. For more information see www.shogi.de
