Dear shogi friends,

Right now, the ESC 2003 has been finished, and the 6th round of the
WOSC is ongoing. This year, we meet at the beautiful Swedish island
Ockero, and 48 shogi players have gathered here for the ESC/WOSC.
We have a new European champion. It is Yoshiyuki Uemura from
France/Japan. He just won the final against Thore Angqvist, Sweden.
There have been a lot of surprises.

games. I will come back about that. Unfortunately, we received the
offer from ISC too late for the ESC final. Maybe we can arrange live
games from round 7 and 8, if the players will accept the arrangements.
