Exactly that kind of shogi set is what gringo children "need".  Ranma,
however, isn't as popular here.  Pokemon or DBZ could possibly work well
though, as they are pretty popular here.  The Gameboy Advance Dragonball Z
Legacy of Goku game sold really well here, even though the game itself was
horrible.  So, imagine what you could do with shogi sets...
