From: Fabien Osmont SYSTOR COM> Date: 26 sep 2002 Subject: Re: Promoting Shogi overseas (was: HABU INTERVIEW (revised)) Our club is at Colmar in France. This area is plenty of Japanese companies (Sharp, Ricoh, Sony, Mitsumi...) When we have created our club, one of our first job was to contact all these companies hoping to create at least contacts, and eventually to obtain sponsorship. We have receive NO answer... So, I'm really not sure that it's so easy to receive sponsorship... But, I suppose if will be prize 500$, and what very much important every year, on Russia will possible made very good Championship what will interest chess players... Apologize for my opinion.
