Our club is at Colmar in France.
This area is plenty of Japanese companies (Sharp, Ricoh, Sony, Mitsumi...)
When we have created our club, one of our first job was to contact all
these companies hoping to create at least contacts, and eventually to
obtain sponsorship.
We have receive NO answer...

So, I'm really not sure that it's so easy to receive sponsorship...

Hm. Looks not need a lot of money for us... :-)))
I hope you live in big City and there are can be Japanese firms.
If I know well all foreigner interest to see on another country
something national what can remind about motherland. I suppose will
be possible find Japanese firm what will be interest populize
Shogi on your country. I repeat, not need a lot of money (I suppose.
:-)) Of course, if you ambitions like "Give me 10000$ and I make
tournament" there are problems. But, I suppose if will be prize 500$,
and what very much important every year, on Russia will possible made
very good Championship what will interest chess players...
