From: Reijer Grimbergen FU IS SAGA-U AC JP> Date: 26 sep 2002 Subject: Re: HABU INTERVIEW (revised) Hi all, I was also interested in the 1983 Tanigawa-Nakahara game, so I looked it up. It is a very interesting fighting game where 51.P*7e and 123.S*7c are only part of the story. Another amazing thing was that after the game Nakahara went out drinking together with Tanigawa (and some other people). While Tanigawa was really shaken by the magnitude of what had happened, Nakahara was exactly as he always was. He showed no sign whatsoever that he just lost what must have been the biggest game of the year for him. I have no time to go into details, but here is the game: Black: Tanigawa Koji, 8-dan 00:00:00 / 05:58:00 White: Nakahara Makoto, 10-dan 00:00:00 / 05:56:00 Meijin Challenger Play-off March 24th 1983 1.P7g-7f 00:00:00 00:00:00 2.P8c-8d 00:00:00 00:00:00 3.S7i-6h 00:00:00 00:00:00 4.P3c-3d 00:00:00 00:00:00 5.S6h-7g 00:00:00 00:00:00 6.S7a-6b 00:00:00 00:00:00 7.P2g-2f 00:05:00 00:00:00 8.S3a-4b 00:05:00 00:00:00 9.S3i-4h 00:05:00 00:00:00 10.G4a-3b 00:05:00 00:00:00 11.G6i-7h 00:05:00 00:00:00 12.P5c-5d 00:05:00 00:00:00 13.P5g-5f 00:05:00 00:00:00 14.K5a-4a 00:05:00 00:00:00 15.K5i-6i 00:05:00 00:00:00 16.G6a-5b 00:05:00 00:03:00 17.G4i-5h 00:10:00 00:03:00 18.S4b-3c 00:10:00 00:03:00 19.P3g-3f 00:10:00 00:03:00 20.B2b-3a 00:10:00 00:03:00 21.B8h-7i 00:10:00 00:03:00 22.P4c-4d 00:10:00 00:03:00 23.P6g-6f 00:10:00 00:03:00 24.P7c-7d 00:10:00 00:03:00 25.P1g-1f 00:18:00 00:03:00 26.G5b-4c 00:18:00 00:36:00 27.G5h-6g 00:25:00 00:36:00 28.P9c-9d 00:25:00 00:48:00 29.P9g-9f 00:36:00 00:48:00 30.S6b-7c 00:36:00 00:57:00 31.N2i-3g 00:41:00 00:57:00 32.P8d-8e 00:41:00 00:59:00 33.P1f-1e 00:41:00 00:59:00 34.B3a-4b 00:41:00 00:59:00 35.R2h-2i 01:29:00 00:59:00 36.K4a-3a 01:29:00 01:04:00 37.R2i-5i 01:33:00 01:04:00 38.P7d-7e 01:33:00 02:05:00 39.P7fx7e 01:34:00 02:05:00 40.B4bx7e 01:34:00 02:05:00 41.P5f-5e 01:39:00 02:05:00 42.P5dx5e 01:39:00 02:05:00 43.R5ix5e 01:39:00 02:05:00 44.B7e-4b 01:39:00 02:05:00 45.R5e-5i 01:39:00 02:05:00 46.S7c-7d 01:39:00 02:10:00 47.N3g-2e 02:05:00 02:10:00 48.S3c-2d 02:05:00 02:17:00 49.B7i-4f 02:10:00 02:17:00 50.P6c-6d 02:10:00 02:17:00 51.P*7e 03:01:00 02:17:00 52.S7dx7e 03:01:00 03:04:00 53.P*7f 03:01:00 03:04:00 54.P8e-8f 03:01:00 03:06:00 55.P8gx8f 03:01:00 03:06:00 56.S7ex8f 03:01:00 03:06:00 57.S7gx8f 03:02:00 03:06:00 58.R8bx8f 03:02:00 03:06:00 59.P*8g 03:02:00 03:06:00 60.R8f-8b 03:02:00 03:16:00 61.S*5a 03:22:00 03:16:00 62.S*5c 03:22:00 03:57:00 63.S5ax4b+ 03:22:00 03:57:00 64.G3bx4b 03:22:00 03:57:00 65.P6f-6e 03:40:00 03:57:00 66.P*5e 03:40:00 03:58:00 67.P6ex6d 03:47:00 03:58:00 68.S5cx6d 03:47:00 03:58:00 69.P*6e 03:52:00 03:58:00 70.P*6f 03:52:00 04:04:00 71.G6gx6f 04:02:00 04:04:00 72.S6d-7c 04:02:00 04:04:00 73.B4fx5e 04:06:00 04:04:00 74.P*5d 04:06:00 04:04:00 75.B5e-3g 04:06:00 04:04:00 76.P*8h 04:06:00 04:11:00 77.G7hx8h 04:09:00 04:11:00 78.P3d-3e 04:09:00 04:19:00 79.K6i-7h 04:14:00 04:19:00 80.P3ex3f 04:14:00 04:19:00 81.B3g-4f 04:22:00 04:19:00 82.S*5e 04:22:00 04:27:00 83.G6fx5e 04:25:00 04:27:00 84.P5dx5e 04:25:00 04:27:00 85.B4fx5e 04:25:00 04:27:00 86.P*5d 04:25:00 04:31:00 87.B5e-7g 04:25:00 04:31:00 88.S7c-7d 04:25:00 04:37:00 89.B*6d 04:47:00 04:37:00 90.G*7c 04:47:00 04:50:00 91.B6d-2h 04:50:00 04:50:00 92.S2dx2e 04:50:00 04:53:00 93.P2fx2e 04:50:00 04:53:00 94.S7dx6e 04:50:00 04:53:00 95.P2e-2d 05:10:00 04:53:00 96.P2cx2d 05:10:00 04:55:00 97.S*5f 05:13:00 04:55:00 98.P*6d 05:13:00 05:05:00 99.S*6g 05:18:00 05:05:00 100.S6ex5f 05:18:00 05:15:00 101.R5ix5f 05:18:00 05:15:00 102.N8a-9c 05:18:00 05:16:00 103.B2h-1g 05:23:00 05:16:00 104.P3f-3g+ 05:23:00 05:28:00 105.S4hx3g 05:25:00 05:28:00 106.N*5e 05:25:00 05:29:00 107.S6g-5h 05:30:00 05:29:00 108.N9c-8e 05:30:00 05:29:00 109.B7g-8f 05:30:00 05:29:00 110.P*7g 05:30:00 05:30:00 111.K7h-6h 05:30:00 05:30:00 112.N2a-3c 05:30:00 05:31:00 113.S3g-4h 05:32:00 05:31:00 114.G7c-7d 05:32:00 05:32:00 115.P*2c 05:35:00 05:32:00 116.G7d-6e 05:35:00 05:35:00 117.R5f-3f 05:35:00 05:35:00 118.P*3e 05:35:00 05:35:00 119.B1gx3e 05:42:00 05:35:00 120.S*4e 05:42:00 05:40:00 121.R3f-1f 05:48:00 05:40:00 122.S4e-3d 05:48:00 05:47:00 123.S*7c 05:54:00 05:47:00 124.R8b-9b 05:54:00 05:50:00 125.S7cx6d+ 05:54:00 05:50:00 126.G6ex6d 05:54:00 05:50:00 127.B8fx6d 05:54:00 05:50:00 128.S3dx3e 05:54:00 05:50:00 129.R1f-6f 05:54:00 05:50:00 130.B*3d 05:54:00 05:54:00 131.G*2b 05:56:00 05:54:00 132.K3a-4a 05:56:00 05:54:00 133.B6d-7c+ 05:56:00 05:54:00 134.S*6g 05:56:00 05:54:00 135.K6h-5i 05:56:00 05:54:00 136.G4c-5c 05:56:00 05:54:00 137.+B7c-7d 05:57:00 05:54:00 138.K4a-5a 05:57:00 05:54:00 139.+B7dx9b 05:57:00 05:54:00 140.L9ax9b 05:57:00 05:54:00 141.P*6h 05:58:00 05:54:00 142.S6gx5h+ 05:58:00 05:55:00 143.K5ix5h 05:58:00 05:55:00 144.N5ex4g+ 05:58:00 05:56:00 145.S4hx4g 05:58:00 05:56:00 146.S*6d 05:58:00 05:56:00 147.P*4c 05:58:00 05:56:00 148.G4bx4c 05:58:00 05:56:00 149.R*9a 05:58:00 05:56:00 150.P*6a 05:58:00 05:56:00 151.R9ax9b+ 05:58:00 05:56:00 152.B*5e 05:58:00 05:56:00 153.N*6c 05:58:00 05:56:00 Resigns 05:58:00 05:56:00 Reijer Carl Johan Nilsson wrote: > Thanks for translating this interesting interview! > In the interview Habu mentions an game between Tanigawa and Nakahara. > > >>Yamada: Is there one game of Tanigawa's that particularly impressed you?
