Does somebody still have this file? You have to run metafont with shogi10.mf with the appropriate settings for your printer and tell it to generate the tfm-file as well. But be warned, the shogi10.mf is of rather poor quality: it's not hand-crafted, but scanned and the scan has been used to trace the outlines for the .mf-file so there's next to no chance of improving it. It looks acceptable at small sizes, however. Another possibility is using the TeX/metafont package I have written to print Shogi, Chu-Shogi and Tenjiku Shogi diagrams.
