Dear shogi friends,

Today was the first day at the 2nd International Shogi Forum. We have
had a wonderful welcome by our hosts here in Tokyo. It is very nice for
a shogi enthusiast to meet all shogi friends, amateurs and
professionals.

We have also seen quick shogi by the professionals, computer shogi,
different chess games, and a simultaneous performance by some
professionals. There are a lot of people at Hotel East 21, and this is
really good for shogi all over the world!
