From: Bernhard Haug MED UNI-GOETTINGEN DE> Date: 11 nov 2002 Subject: thread on misbehaving shogi timers Me, too, noticed this problem and thought like Larry did. But in addition to that I encountered several times, that just at the moment when I got to a threatening position, my opponent escaped by "network trouble", and by this way received some extra minutes of thinking time until "resume" was activated. Also a strange thing happened recently several times. At the same occasion, I received the message, that my computer "was downed", as if me had unplugged the internet connection, which was not the case. Afterwards "resume" worked the usual way, without rebooting.
