Subject: Way to go!

Congratulations, Gert!  I am proud to be one of the few persons who
predicted that Gert will be a very good player!  In fact, when I saw his
game in MSO London a few years ago, I felt so much talent in him, though he
was still an intermediate player that time.  It may be true that awarding 5
dan to him is a bit too generous for Shogi Renmei, but he will soon be
worthy of the rank, as I strongly believe that he will even be the strongest
non-Japanese player ever!
