I hope this list is still active.

Is there a way to play live over the internet?  I know
yahoo Japan has shogi, but I can't get an account with
them for some reason.  I can get one with Yahoo Asia,
but there's no shogi there... :(

Also, can someone help me with Gnu-shogi?  I have the
program and can play it just fine, but being
completely text based it's a little hard to see what's
going on.  If I understand correctly, teh associated
archive "xshogi(something).tar" contains a graphic
interface to use to play against the gnu-shogi
computer opponent.  But I downloaded that archive and
extracted it, and haven't a clue what to do with all
those files.  Anyone know?  Or have I completely
misunderstood the purpose of the file?
