From: Reijer Grimbergen FU IS SAGA-U AC JP> Date: 21 feb 2002 Subject: Osho match game 4 Sato took a huge step towards taking the Osho title from Habu by winning game 4 today after 151 moves. Sato is now 3-1 up and needs only one more win from the next three games to get his first Osho title. The game was a difficult Yokofudori game where Sato seemed to have the edge from early on. After the game Habu said he never saw a real chance to win, but to me it looked like a very long and difficult endgame where one small mistake could have turned the tables. Whether Habu was the one who made that mistake or if Sato carried his middle game lead all the way will be more clear after next week's Shukan Shogi. The game can already be seen at: http://www.sponichi.co.jp/leisure/o_syo/2002/kifu/04.html Reijer P.S.: I hope I can send a Shukan Shogi report tomorrow with the third game of the Osho-sen and the second game of the Kio-sen, but things are still very busy, so it might be next week instead. For those waiting, please be a little more patient... -- Reijer Grimbergen Department of Information Science Saga University 1 Honjo-machi, Saga-shi, 840-8502 Japan E-mail: grimbergen fu is saga-u ac jp URL: http://www.fu.is.saga-u.ac.jp/~grimberg/ Tel: +81-(0)952-28-8821 Fax: +81-(0)952-28-8650
