Subject: Nice wooden pieces in Europe?

I have one set of carved/lacquered wooden pieces, but I don't
particularly like the minimalist/odd characters used for the pawn and
tokin - the tokin, in particular, is just a sort of dash.

Is there anywhere in Europe (or elsewhere, if necessary) I could get
carved/lacquered wooden pieces with more usual calligraphy? I
appreciate that this will not be cheap.
