Subject: 3rd International Austrian Shogi Championships , result

Dear Shogi Friends!

This weekend the 3rd International Austrian Shogi Championships took place
in Graz. This year we had 18 participants! And thanks to the 2 players not
from Austria, Peter Hingley and Sven Korsner, it was this year an real
"international" tournament.

Gert Schnider managed to win the tournament with 6 wins. On second place
followed Thomas Pfaffel followed by the big surprise of the tournament,
Marco Dietmayer, who only lost against Gert and Thomas.

8 player played for their first time a shogi tournament!

The first 4 players will compete in a Knockout-Playoff in May to determine
the Austrian representative at the 2nd Int. Shogi Forum.
