I did try it when it was first released, maybe a year ago. By then it was VERY weak, it could not mate me even when I tried help it. It failed to see 1 move tsumes. I threw it out fast. This week I downloaded the new version and found that it is much improved. I still won easily the even game I tried, but it mated me in an optimal way when I tried to help it. As you can give it handicap it may be useful to some people. > > It's a shareware but has a very very poor level, and is quite slow to play. But the Palm is not a very powerful machine, so I am not so disapointed this time. However I, and a few people that has downloaded it, think that Shogi Board still fills a purpose as it can handle human entered games, and keep databases of them, which PocketShogi does not.
