Aloha Shogi friends,

Unfortunately we cannot play in NYC his month, but this did not
refrain me from travelling around. I found out what is probably the
nicest place to play shogi in the world: Waikiki beach in Hawaii!
There is a large Japanese community here in Hawaii and I was suprised
to find several people playing shogi about 200 m from my hotel
overlooking the beach and breathtaking sunsets. Some people are san
dan level and giving me a hard time, but I am happy to be able to
play some games. If you ever get to Hawaii, be sure to check out this
place.
