Subject: Meijin match game 7

Maruyama has successfully defended his meijin title by beating
challenger Tanigawa in the 7th and final game. The furigoma gave
Tanigawa the black pieces, but for the first time this match the white
player won. A difficult R8e Yokofudori game where I thought Tanigawa was
better as the black attack looked very strong  (wishful thinking?). In
the end, white survived the attack and Maruyama's counter attack decided
the game after only 84 moves. The game can be replayed at:
