From: Pieter Stouten SHOGI NET> Date: 7 jul 2001 Subject: MSO 2001 Shogi Festival: schedule of events Hello Shogi fans, The schedule of the Shogi Festival 2001, organized as part of the Mind Sports Olympiad in London, UK, is final now and I am pleased to announce that we will have 7 days brimming with Shogi. Last year's favourites have all returned: the Team Match, the Blitz Championship, Shogi for Beginners, the Simul, and as top of the bill the 9-rounds combined European Championship/MSO Worldwide Championship. Two new events are being organized under the inspired guidance of Edi Werner: a 5-round Tori Shogi tournament and a 4-round Chu Shogi event. The MSO will take place on South Bank University's Wandsworth Road Campus. For location details refer to: As soon as accommodation and sponsorship details become available, I'll pass them on to you. Hope to see you all in London (together with New York my favourite city!), Pieter Stouten (on behalf of the MSO 2001 Shogi Festival Council) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MSO 2001 Shogi Festival ----------------------- TORI SHOGI [5 rounds, up to 16 participants expected] Mon 20 Aug: 10:00-13:00 and 13:30-18:00.
