Subject: Results Summer Shogi in Goteborg

Dear Shogi friends,

Today the traditional Summer Shogi was played outdoor in Goteborg. It is a friendly event as a part of the preparations for EC in August. The modest temperature of 22 degrees and the somewhat cloudy sky made the weather perfect. Not for a day at the beach, but certainly for some nice shogi games.

Concerning the results it can be said that Martin Danerud was very close winning the tournament since in the "final" in round 3, he missed some tsumes and finally lost on an illegal move in a totally won position. Worth noting is also the two new names Björn Tjällgren and Taro Takahari. No top results this year of course but probably next year.
