I am neither, by far, a professional player, nor even a strongest amateur player, but having experiences in teaching Shogi to non-Japanese in English, I would like to be of help by sharing with you my knowledge about Shogi. I could also ask Kume san, webmaster of the Shogi Dojo 24, to open a special English site for us for this thing. However, in doing that, I would like your opinion. The first thing is about the problem regarding the time difference. I live in Bangkok, Thailand, which is GMT +07:00. The best time which I can think of may be to do this on Sunday at 1pm in Thailand, which will be Saturday 10pm in S.F. and L.A, midnight in Chicago, Sunday 1am in NY, 7am in London, and between the morning and the noon in the rest of Europe depending on where you live. Do you think this will work out for you guys or is there a better time? Also, what level of players should this be targeting? What are the specific things, such as jyouseki, mating, review of pro games, castles, breaking them down, attacking techniques and the use and advanced use of pawns, that should be taught on that lesson? I would really appreciate it if you could give me your suggestion on this matter. Thank you Chiaki Ito
