It's great to see that the future New York senator has given shogi
some much-deserved attention.  I hope they will have shogi-in-the-
schools programs here someday, since shogi helps the mind and brings
many cultures together.

Moreover, hats off to the New York club for organizing America's
greatest shogi event ever!  I'm very honored that I will be there.

Does anyone know if any professional games will be played in the USA
soon?  I remember they've had some Ryu-O match games here.  I know I
will not miss any more of these.  One thing that prevented me from
going previously was the lack of information on accomodations for
spectators.  I mean, are we everyday Americans allowed to watch such
matches in person?  On TV even?  I remember well how they had
Kasparov vs. Deep Blue in front of a sizeable audience.  I hope they
do the same for professional shogi games.
