From: Sam Sloan ISHIPRESS COM> Date: 11 mar 2000 Subject: Re: Setting up a mailing list Dear Pieter, I am aware that there are several list maintanence services available on the Internet, such as Onelist. However, they let you set up your lists with them so as to advertise their products. You have no control over their list (which is no longer your list) and if they go out of business, you have lost your list. I want to use Listserv. Othewise, I am not interested. I certainly to not want to give the e-mail addresses I have collected with great difficulty to some other organization. I am having a lot of problem understanding how Listserv works. I do not understand whether it runs off of my PC, or off of my ISP or from central Listserv site for example. What is shogi.net ?
