I assume that everybody knows that Grandmaster Lautier is half-Japanese.
His mother is Japanese.

I met Lautier and his mother during the World Under-14 Championship in 1986
in San Juan Puerto Rico. I was there as the coach of the three Polgar
sisters. Lautier won the tournament. Sofia and Judit Polgar tied for second.
