I suppose that's better than not remembering..... If George Hodges still has his series available, that was also excellent information. I have Larry's handicap booklets which are also excellent to have in one's library. Larry, if these are different than the books you mentioned, let me know. Bookwise, if "Shogi for Beginners" (Fairbairn) is still available, that's an excellent primer. "Better moves for Better Shogi" I haven't heard if it's still available. And the new book "The Art of Shogi" by Mr. Hosking is good. None of these, as far as I know, is public domain, however. But on the other hand, most all of these are relatively inexpensive and all are very benefical reading and studying. Tony
