From: Doug Dysart YAHOO COM> Date: 23 jan 2000 Subject: Ohio Shogi Dojo The Ohio Shogi Club will be having its annual business meeting, as well as its first tournament of the 3rd millennium, on January 30. The tournament will be known as the Superbowl Sunday Shogi Showdown. We will be meeting at Papa Dino's around noon in Cincinnati, OH. Let me or Josh Krekeler know if you need directions, etc. On February 6, the OSC has its first Columbus tournament at Ohio State. Let me know if you need a ride from Cincinnati. On February 12, Columbus will be having a Japanese culture festival. We may try to do some shogi stuff there. Months ago I was asked to show off shogi there. The OSC hopes to have matches with clubs around the U.S. and the rest of the globe. We'll take all comers. We're also quite open to doing what New York and D.C. did: have a telephone match. Probably better would be to have our match online, like say at ShogiDojo or JavaShogi. All OSC events are USSF events as well. We encourage all participants to join. I'd like to send a special shout out to Shogi Grandmaster Larry Kaufman, who has done an excellent job as Ratings Chairman thus far. Also, George Fernandez and Fassil Bekele are doing a good job. They helped the OSC get lots of equipment vital to the success of any shogi dojo. Doug Dysart Ohio Shogi Club founder __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
