Thanks Nick for pointing this out. I fully agree with you. Indeed, the
Catholic Roman Church is holding a High Mass for the start of the New
Millenium on December, 31st, 2000 (and they know about calendars...).
I am sure you will forgive me for the inaccuracy - after all, the change
of the first digit (1-->2) is a remarkable event! :-))
