From: DANERUD MARTIN TELIA COM> Date: 17 feb 2000 Subject: Goteborg vs Stockholm 1-0 Dear shogi friends, Tonight the JavaShogi game between two consulting teams from Goteborg and Stockholm respectively was played. The Goteborg team consisted of eight players, among those the two 1-dan players Carl Johan Nilsson and Martin Danerud. In Stockholm six (?) players were gathered, among those were Christer Hartman (1-kyu)=20 and Thore Angqvist (2-kyu). I will give you the game below without comments, and=20 we are happy to receive comments from Shogi-L members.=20 Dick Iwakura, who was one of the live spectators of the=20 game, has promised to give his comments. Please=20 observe that the main idea with this traditional JavaShogi match is that the weaker kyu players get a chance to=20 take part in a game with not too many mistakes. They=20 also get a chance to test their ideas in the sometimes=20 wild discussions going on in the teams. The two matches played until now have displayed interesting, but of course far from perfect, shogi.
